Ian Sabourin is a Montreal-based Canadian countertenor praised for his “stunning” tone and magnetic stage presence. From street performer to rising opera talent, Ian is the first countertenor ever accepted into Opéra de Montréal’s Atelier Lyrique. With award-winning performances in Monteverdi, Handel, and new Canadian opera, he’s making the countertenor voice more accessible and inspiring new generations of singers. Ian also offers private voice coaching for emerging vocalists. Upcoming roles include Giulio Cesare and Bach’s St. John Passion.
